13 June 2017 FPB Public Meeting to discuss the Independent Consultant’s Assessment of the KyMEA Power Contract
FPB Public Meeting to discuss the Independent Consultant’s Assessment of the KyMEA Power Contract
When: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
Where: FPB’s new Administration Building, 151 Flynn Avenue, Frankfort.
Following concerns expressed by Envision Franklin County and many local residents, the FPB hired an independent energy consultant, Energy & Environmental Economics (E3) to evaluate the All-Requirements power contract that the FPB signed with the KyMEA in 2016. At this public meeting on June 13, a representative from E3 will present their findings and recommendations.
Please attend to learn about E3’s assessment and show your support for clean energy and changes to the KYMEA contract that better serve the needs of our community.
To learn more about this contract, you can read assessments by Envision Franklin County and Synapse Energy Economics at https://kyconservationfound.org/clean-and-sustainable-communities-project/. At this site you can also find a webinar which explains the KyMEA All-Requirements power contract and Envision’s concerns.

“Every investment in beauty yields an economic payoff”
“There is no excuse for anything to ever be built that does not add to the beauty of a city. Every investment in beauty yields an economic payoff. If you build beautiful places — whether they are parks, parking garages, or public housing — the land next to these places becomes more successful. They become catalytic agents to generate economic activity.”
