Each year the SFNA Executive Committee, with input from a board member from The Kings Center, awards one scholarship to an FHS student, living in South Frankfort, in honor of long-time SFNA board member, resident, and community activist Randy Bacon. If funding is available then additional recipients may be chosen.

All applicants are judged anonymously in the following areas:
• Scholastic achievements and extra-curricular activities
• Letter of recommendation (one required)
• Community service
• Student essay on “Why I am deserving of this scholarship and why I need the scholarship”.
