The South Frankfort Neighborhood Association is sponsoring a Historic Home and Building Tour on Saturday, June 13, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds will go to the Randy Bacon Memorial Scholarship fund and other charitable causes in South Frankfort.

Tickets will be sold in advance for $10.00 or $12.00 on the day of the tour. Tickets and programs will be available at the Frankfort Tourist Center (Gooch House) at 100 Capital Avenue on the morning of the tour, and advance tickets can be purchased there after May 1, 2009.

Our annual clean-up day is Saturday, April 25th. We will meet at the Frankfort High School Shelby Street lawn at 10 a.m.

Please come and participate. Just wear comfortable shoes and maybe some sunscreen – we have gloves, trash bags, and the lovely vests. Each team (2-4 people) will walk a few blocks in the neighborhood collecting litter and debris from the sidewalk to the curb.
After we’re done, meet us at Dolly Graham park for a potluck picnic. We will provide hot dogs (grilled to perfection by our illustrious Chair) and drinks. You are welcome to bring a covered dish with a serving spoon for everyone to enjoy.

The next quarterly meeting will take place on Thursday April 23rd at South Frankfort Presbyterian Church at 7:00pm.

It will be preceded by an Executive Board Meeting and a Full Board Meeting.
