A quick reminder about our networking meeting tomorrow night. We will start at 6 and about 6:15 do a few brief introductions and business items (minutes from October quarterly meeting and Treasurer’s Report). The remainder of the evening will be available for you to mingle with one another and see what opportunities around town are available to you by means of volunteering or providing additional support towards. The meeting will be in the Fellowship Hall of South Frankfort Presbyterian Church, so please enter from the West Third Street entrance. Your SFNA Board will provide beverages and paper products, but we ask that you bring a small appetizer/finger food to share. However, a friend or someone that you know who might be interested in joining the SFNA or starting a neighborhood association would be nice to bring too.

As a side note in response to SFNA requesting notification of demolition permits issued by the city, SFNA has been notified (by e-mail on 1/15) that a demolition permit has been issued for the property at 211 Shelby Street. The property is located outside of the SC zoning district but within a National Register District. There is no Code Enforcement case related to this property-this has been initiated by the owner. Because this is not in the SC district, the permit was issued administratively. As of yet, the demolition has not taken place but the permit is valid for up to 180 days.
