Classes for Frankfort Independent Schools students will be canceled Dec. 8, as the district closes for the governor’s inauguration ceremony.

School had previously been scheduled for the district that day, but Board of Education members voted Monday night to close operations and make up the day on Feb. 15, President’s Day.
