(June 8, 2009) –  The Department of Highways District 5 Office announces the temporary closure of US60X at the Kentucky River Bridge (Singing Bridge) between Bridge Street and St. Clair Street(mile points 0 and 0.07) due to bridge repairs.  The bridge will be closed beginning Monday, June 15, 2009 and will continue through early August 2009.  Motorists should follow the signed detour via West Main Street, the Capitol Avenue Bridge and US 60.

In addition, KY 1665 (Bark Branch Road) will be closed at the Stoney CreekBridgejust east of US 421 (mile point 11.8) due to bridge replacement.  The bridge will be closed beginning Monday, June 15, 2009and continue through early August 2009.  Motorists should follow the signed detour.
