Louisville Hill Road Stormwater Separation Project

Frankfort, KY (July 31, 2012) – The Frankfort Sewer Department announces temporary closures of Taylor Avenue (SR 1211) and US 60 on Louisville Hill between the Lafayette Drive bridge and Taylor Avenue (mile points 7.2 and 7.9). The Frankfort Sewer Department will be installing a new 48” storm drain and replacing a 14” sewer force main. The closure will occur in two phases. During the first phase of the project Taylor Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Second Street to Devils Hollow Road. When the work in Taylor Avenue is complete Taylor Avenue will reopen, and the second phase of the project will close US 60 on Louisville Hill between the Lafayette Drive Bridge and Taylor Avenue. Work on the project is scheduled to begin around August 6th.

Closure of Taylor Avenue to through traffic is scheduled to begin the week of August 6th.

Closure of US 60 on Louisville Hill is anticipated to begin between September 1st and September 15th. A later announcement will be sent once the date of the US-60 closure is finalized. The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
