June-July SFNA news

Your Executive Committee and Board met last week and confirmed some upcoming SFNA hosted events and we are looking forward to seeing everyone next week at the Annual 4th of July Kiddo Parade!

Join us on the 4th at 10 a.m. on the corner of Paul Sawyer and East 4th Street to start the parade. Decorated bikes, trikes, and scooters are strongly encouraged! The parade will end at Dolly Graham Park with hot dogs and ice cream! While we are at the park Connie May will be available to give tours of the new Fantasy Forest area.

Our July quarterly meeting agenda has not been finalized, but the meeting will take place on Thursday, July 26. This is our “annual” meeting at which we renew our yearly memberships and vote for our next round of officers. If you are interested in participating more in SFNA activities or wish to serve as an officer, then here is your chance to speak up. Please e-mail Darrell Meadows if you would like to serve on the Executive Committee as an officer. We shall send another e-mail in July with the final agenda for the meeting and any additional information we have received regarding events of interest.

While the list below is probably not complete, we encourage you to participate in as many downtown and South Frankfort activities as you can to support our wonderful organizations we have in this town.

Please be sure to check out the SFNA website at www.southfrankfort.orgor the Facebook page. If you would like additional information, wish to add someone to our e-mail distribution list or remove your name, then please send an e-mail to sfna.news@yahoo.com. The SFNA Facebook page has about 200 followers and the e-mail distribution list is around 200. We are working on a goal of increasing both of these numbers…would 500 people on each be too much to request? Will you help make this happen? Also, attached is our membership application – we try to keep our annual expenses down, but we do encounter some printing and supply costs.
