SFNA e-mail news

With the inaugural festivities tomorrow, getting in and out of the neighborhood and parking will be difficult. Below is a list of street closures and attached the parade map. Also the Frankfort Police Department distributed flyers to hopefully all homes that might be affected by parking. Just in case, I have attached the document. Also, Frankfort Independent Schools will not be in session tomorrow, their make-up day will be Friday, January 6. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and starts at Broadway and Wilkinson.

Please join us and invite your friends and neighbors next Thursday, December 22 for a festive night of caroling and gathering with our neighbors. We will start at 5:30 at 322 West Fourth Street (the Webb house) and then head out (at 6 p.m.) to sing to our neighborhood shelters and local businesses. At 7 p.m. we will convene back at the Webb’s to finish our holiday festivities for an evening amongst friends and neighbors. Feel free to bring an adult beverage and/or a light potluck snack. We will also be collecting canned food for South Frankfort shelters. Please RSVP your family for the party by calling. South Frankfort supporters of all ages are welcome.

Attached is a newsletter from the Simon House and a flyer regarding the annual WeWannaPlay dodgeball tournament on January 15, 2012 being held at the FHS Gym.

FISD will begin their fall break on Thursday, December 22.

The next SFNA quarterly meeting will be on Thursday, January 19 at the South Frankfort Presbyterian Church on Steele and Third streets. We will open the doors at 6 p.m. for a supper fundraiser to benefit the scholarship fund and our meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Check out Margaret’s article in the January issue of the Capital Living which gives information about our primary topic of conversation. Additional speakers may also be on the agenda, but with a shorter time frame. When the agenda is finalized, we will let you know.

We may send a reminder out next week about the caroling event. We hope to see everyone there!

Have a wonderful holiday season!
Your SFNA Executive Committee and Board
