see the earlier post below for information on the April 3rd event. Volunteers are also needed for the day before, April 2nd.

We would welcome your help on April 2nd,  2:00 p.m., at the County Extension office, Lakeview Park. We will be sorting, bagging, and labeling 2,000 trees for the Arbor Day tree giveaway that will be held in conjunction with the Reforest Frankfort event.  There will be refreshments and lots of fun.  We had a good turnout of S.Frankfort folks last year and welcome you again this year.  Please let me know if you can help.

Also needed are people to be the crew leaders for the planting of 2,500 trees on that day.  The crew leaders will be trained on the proper procedure for planting the trees, and then will take out groups of ten volunteers and assist them in planting the tree seedlings on April 3rd.  If you can help with this, please contact city arborist, Andrew Cammack, at 502-803-0761 or at acammack at fewpb net.

This is a great family event for our city and county, and we hope all of you will come down on April 3rd, join the fun, and plant some trees!!
