2008 SFNA Picnic – this Sunday!

The South Frankfort Neighborhood Association will hold its annual potluck picnic on the front lawn of Frankfort High School from 4:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, September 21.

Fried chicken will be provided compliments of Danny Bryant of Pic Pac Supermarket. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish or dessert to compliment the meal. Drinks will be provided.

Children’s games will be held throughout the afternoon.

Entertainment will be provided by Alan Rhody, a well known singer/songwriter from Nashville and by Lauren Houston, an up-and-coming talent from northern Kentucky, who has appeared frequently in the region of late.

The Frankfort Fire Department will have some of its equipment for the kids to check out. Wilson’s nursery will provide potted mums for table decorations during the picnic and for sale at bargain prices after the picnic. For the first time, attendees are encouraged to bring plants for a plant exchange.

A nice list of door prizes will be raffled off during the afternoon with proceeds going to the Randy Bacon Memorial Scholarship fund.

If you can, please bring donations for the homeless to the Bluegrass Community Action Agency table; toiletries, and other personal items are needed.

Be sure to bring a lawn chair to be sure of a seat. And mark your calendar – this year’s picnic promises to be the best yet!
